Q.  What do I have to bring? Or do I need to read any material in advance?
A.

You do not have to bring anything, no reading material in advance.  We only ask that you bring yourself and an open mind.

Q.  How do I enroll in the Healing Racism session as a participant?
A.

All are welcome.  Click here to view our upcoming sessions where you can purchase your seat and apply online.  You can also download the application and email or fax to: wlugodejesus@davisfdn.org or 413-734-7845. There are space limitations.

Q.  What time? Location?
A.

The commitment is of two full days 8:30-4:30pm both days.  Location will vary but most sessions are hosted at Holyoke Community College: 303 Homestead Ave, Holyoke, MA 01040.

Q.  How do I get to Holyoke Community College?
A.

Q.  Is there a fee to attend the Healing Racism session?
A.

The two-day Healing Racism seminars cost is $300 p/person. Scholarships are available.

Q.  Can I attend with a colleague?
A.

Yes.  However, we limit the representatives for any given organization and or group to three per session.  

Q.  What if I need to take a conference call during the session or leave for a meeting, can I come back?
A.

No.  If you are unable to stay both full days, please ask for a re-schedule, in order to have the full experience the time needs to be un-interrupted. We appreciate your understanding.

Q.  What do I do if during the session I have an emergency?
A.

We understand the need to be flexible in case of an emergency and we only ask that you alert the lead facilitator and/or staff member present before you leave the session.  Your place will be honored at the next upcoming session. 

Q.  Do I need to do the full two days of the new session if I had to leave after the first day of my last one?
A.

Yes, the full two day participation is a requirement. You will need to begin the process with a new group, which we will be happy to accommodate. 

Q.  What is the dress code?
A.

Please dress comfortably or business casual.  

Q.  Will food be served?
A.

Yes.  A light breakfast buffet, lunch (salad, sandwiches and/or wraps) and light snacks will be available each day. There will be breaks during the day and 45 minutes for lunch. If you have any dietary restrictions and/or food allergies please email or call Waleska (wlugodejesus@davisfdn.org) to try to accommodate.  

Q.  How can I support?

Q.  Is there financial assistance to participate?
A.

Cost for the 2-day Healing Racism experience is $300 (includes both days, all materials and meals). A scholarship fund has been established and is available to defray the cost for those requiring financial assistance in order to participate. Scholarships are kept in strict confidence.
